The Knappers

23 March 2024.
The second goal, on 89 min.
This was a big win over the second placed club and the only club which could possibly knock Farnham off the top spot. We tend to play at our best against good teams. And they had a bad day at the office, especially int the first half.
It was raining when we arrived, but brightened up before the match. The first footie outing for the 100-400. Which was just lovely. Decent shots even at the other end of the pitch. And in post production, much easier to see which pictures to keep without zooming in on each one. Because it was so bright, the shadows were quite pronounced. I found myself lightening a lot of them in Lightroom.
But because the light was generally good, I didn’t have to shoot wide open. In the first half, the Knappers’ goal was in shade. This was more of an issue for white balance than exposure/ aperture. As I was shooting RAW, white balance was handled in post production anyway. The main reason I shoot RAW is to get access to the Lightroom denoising. When this comes to JPG, I’ll probably go back to JPGs, just for speed. I do find the buffer fills up quickly.
Lots of pictures of the Knappers’ keeper, who had a good game
